 Ed Brown mainspring housings are fully machined from solid bar stock steel. No cheap castings
or plastic is used. Sharp checkering is machine 23567i77cut into each housing for precision and
straightness, then finished by hand. The Government Model housing features drop-in installation
in all full-size 1911 pistols including full size Para-Ordnance pistols such as the P-14
and P-16. The Officer's model features drop-in installation on all Officer's model frames. All
housings will work great with any finish or type of steel, including aluminum. Available in
blue or stainless steel with 20 or 30 lines per inch (LPI) checkering.
