 This
is the same Wilson slide and frame on which all Wilson custom pistols are
based. That's a choice we don't take lightly and says quite a bit for its
quality. In the computer industry they have a saying, "Garbage In-Garbage
Out.". The same philosophy holds true when building a custom gun. If you
don't want to end up with garbage, you need a good quality slide and frame.
These slides and frames are CNC machined from hardened steel forgings (No
Castings). It costs a little more to produce parts from forgings, but that's
the only way we can assure maximum quality in each and every part. The
precision of the CNC machining process produces a slide-to-frame fit of four
thousandths of an inch or less. To save time and money, we have built
features into our slides and frames that would normally cost hundreds of
dollars to have done by a pistolsmith.
Features like a beveled magazine well, high-cut trigger guard and Wilson
Beavertail grip safety cut are standard features on our frames. The Ejector
is Included. The slide is blank with no markings for greater custom
flexibility, but we have cut the diagonal cocking serrations front and rear
and provided standard dovetail cuts front (.300" x 60 degree) and rear (GI
Spec). We provide these parts separately or in matched sets. If you would
