Many of you have asked us to develop a quick detach system for our combat tested Aimpoint Cantilever Ring. With the development of our AccuCam Quick Detach Locking Lever System we are now able to fill those requests. The new AccuCam Quick Detach Aimpoint Cantilever Ring has the same robust features as our original Aimpoint Cantilever Ring—the body is manufactured from solid billet 6061 T6 aluminum, six cap screws firmly hold the Aimpoint in place, and the insulated waterproof spare battery compartment with spare battery cap keeps the spare battery handy. The new AccuCam QD Locking Lever System provides you with a solid method to quickly install or remove your Aimpoint from the weapon system. The Aimpoint can quickly be installed on a dovetail rail in seconds by rotating the AccuCam Cam Lever to the locked position. It can then be quickly removed by rotating the AccuCam Cam Lever to the unlocked position. It is fully adjustable to fit Weaver and MIL-STD 1913 dovetails. The unique design allows you to adjust the tension to accommodate out of spec or worn dovetails. In tests, the AccuCam Locking Lever System has shown to be repeatable to 1/2 MOA. The unique finger loop design is easily operated, even with a gloved hand and the rounded design is ergonomic and virtually snag proof. The AccuCam mechanism is manufactured from solid billet 4140 steel and manganese phosphated black to Mil- Spec.

If you attach an Aimpoint Comp ML2 or M2 red dot sight directly to an M16/AR15 “flat-top” upper receiver’s integral rail using a conventional ring mount it will be far too low to acquire the red dot without front sight interference, no matter what type of cheek weld you adopt. Our Aimpoint Cantilever Ring permits mounting the Aimpoint Comp M2 directly to the receiver’s integral rail with the red dot positioned above the front sight post. Yet it’s still low enough so that our MAD or A2-Style Flip Up Rear Sights can be deployed to co-witness directly through the Aimpoint’s optics should its battery fail. The GG&G Cantilever Ring is also designed to place the Aimpoint Comp M2 far enough forward so that a night vision monocular can be mounted to the rear in co-alignment and in conjunction with the Aimpoint’s night vision compatibility. The newly redesigned GG&G Aimpoint Cantilever Ring is lighter in weight, and incorporates a captivated thumbnut and spring activated sidebar, which aides in installing the mount, especially in low light conditions. The ring body still has a built-in insulated spare battery compartment with a spare battery cap, located on the side for easy access. The rugged GG&G Cantilever Ring is manufactured from solid billet 6061T6 aluminum and is hard anodized black to Mil-Spec.

IThe best way to attach an Aimpoint Comp M XD or Comp M2 to the M16/AR15 flat top is by means of the GG&G standard Aimpoint ring, which was designed to maximize the Aimpoint’s tactical features. Manufactured from 6061 T6 billet aluminum and black hard-coat anodized, this ring is attached to the base by using a squeeze rail design incorporating a single elliptical thumbnut. There is also a square locking cross bar for recoil control. The ring body has a built-in insulated spare battery compartment with a spare Aimpoint battery cap. This is an important feature and it's located on the side of the ring for easy access. Our ring is extra wide so that only one is required. To clear the M16/AR15 front sight, the low-profile standard GG&G Comp M ring must be mounted on our Scout length FIRE system rail.

Aimpoint has recently introduced to the market a 3X magnifier that can be used in conjunction with all Aimpoint scopes for long range aiming. When coupled with the GG&G Quick Detach 3X Adapter and QD Multi-Flex Mount it can be removed in seconds for CQB situations or installation of the ITT PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular for night targeting. The GG&G Quick Detach Multi-Flex System also allows the Aimpoint 3X to be used affectively behind the EOTECH Holosight as shown in the photograph. When not weapons mounted this new 3X magnifier can also be used as a hand held observation device. The magnifier does not have a reticle of its own but uses the red dot or reticle in the Aimpoint or EOTECH as the aiming reticle. This eliminates the need to re-zero when shifting from non-magnified to magnified use or vice versa. This great new product is rubber covered for increased protection from shock as well as providing an ergonomic grip when used as a hand held monocular. The magnifier is manufactured from a 30 mm diameter tube and provides a 7 degree field of view. It is only 4.3" long and weighs only 7.1 ounces.
