Gerber's newest in a proud
line of tactical knives, Spectre™ is a one-handed opening pocket/belt
clip knife designed with the hard-use customer in mind. Spectre™
combines the latest in manufacturing and materials technology to produce
a knife with all of the best features now expected by today's
discriminating and educated cutlery buyer.
Designed to excel in the most demanding situations, the handle is made
from G10; a high pressure, fiberglass reinforced epoxy laminate. It is
lightweight, mechanically strong, and virtually impervious to solvents
and other chemicals.
The liners are made from 6AL-4V titanium. Precision laser cut and
machined, these liners are 55% the weight of stainless steel, yet just
as strong. Titanium also makes the liners virtually corrosion proof.
Spectre™ has a shallow drop point blade made from 154CM, or ATS-34
stainless steel. Both of these take and hold an edge better than the 440
series stainless steels. Blades are available with a fine edge or
partially serrated edge, and are heat treated to 59-61c. This provides
the best edge holding ability while maintaining flexibility and
strength. The blade is coated with black titanium nitride, making it
corrosion resistant while also subduing glare from the stainless steel.
Gerber's new Spectre™ has a stainless steel pocket clip with a black
oxide finish. All fastening hardware and pivot points are machined
stainless steel.
Gerber Legendary Blades stands behind the Spectre™ with a Limited
Lifetime Warranty.
