The Leupold® Golden Ring® spotting scopes are just as revolutionary today as they were when they were first introduced. First, they used a mirror system to create a longer than normal optical path (to get the same system without the mirrors, the scope would be 2-1/2 feet long). Second, they used an optical erector system, rather than a conventional variable magnification eyepiece. The results are simply amazing.
