The large cabinet is 60" wide x 24"
deep x 84" high. It contains a white chemically-resistant fiberglass liner
with smooth, rounded corners for easy cleaning with bleach solutions. This
prevents trace evidence from being trapped in the corners and possibly being
carried over from case to case. The outside construction is
polyurethane-coated aluminum frame and head assembly with an aluminum base
support. There is a clear lexan door, a stainless steel coat rack, and a
built-in drain. Each style
of cabinet is corrosion proof, has a locking door, and an alarm to detect
low air flow, and is a ductless design. There are particulate pre-filters in
the lower door grill and at the main filter inlet, a HEPA filter (two in the
large unit), chemisorptive carbon filter (two in the large unit) and an
after filter for maximum protection. The visible safety alarms indicate
whether the system is okay, whether it is necessary to replace the door
pre-filter, main HEPA filter or the after filter.
The units have washdown
capabilities with optional plumbing and hoses. The shelves shown in the
photographs and clothing separators are available options. Another option is
the Formalin sterilizer for use when the HEPA filter is exhausted. |
