Searching for weapons, bullets and other small metal objects at a crime scene can be very time consuming. And, there is the great possibility that the items may be missed. Using ground-sweeping metal detectors to assist in the search can increase your chances of recovering all of the evidence and can do it in less time.

One ground searching unit is the Investigator G-500 Metal Detector. The Graphic Target Analyzer™ shows you just what the detector has found. To operate, just press a single touchpad and begin to find metal targets immediately. Its LCD Information Center continuously displays all control and discrimination settings, and the Metal ID Guide helps identify targets. Hunt in an All Metal mode, a factory-set mode that eliminates most trash metal, or determine your own precise discrimination. There are 24 Accept/Reject discrimination notches to find just the target you are seeking. While this unit is more advanced than the Investigator Ace unit, it does not weigh any more and is just as simple to use. The Investigator G-500 has an 8 1/2" Crossfire searchcoil. The unit takes eight AA batteries (included). Stereo headphones are available to hear the beeps from the device while working near noisy environments. A soft-sided carrying case is also available.

The smallest of all handheld body scanners, the Enforcer G-2 features automatic circuitry powerful and sensitive enough to detect all concealed metal weapons, including the smallest knives or guns. It slips easily into a shirt pocket and can be held in the palm of almost any adult hand. The Enforcer G-2 sounds an audible alarm and signals with a red light whenever a target is located. An earphone is available for "silent" scanning. Also available is a Recharging Unit to permit the use of nickel cadmium (NiCad) rechargeable batteries (included)
