20mm Scales, 150 Per Roll

Similar to our 6" scales, these precision metric scales are made of matte-white, non-reflective rigid plastic. One scale is 5 cm long and the other is 10 cm long. The 5 cm scale has one photomacrographic circle and the 10 cm scale has two. Each scale has a black bar on it which runs the full length of it. This lets you make a general measurement on evidence which is photographed from too far a distance to see the millimeter lines. Because these scales will be used for evidence photography, our name does not appear on the front to distract from your photo. If you wish to write a case number, date or your initials on the scale, place a piece of frosted tape on the front and write on it with a ball-point or felt-tip pen. When done, peel the tape off and use the scale again.

The Folding Scale is back and it is better than ever. The numbers are larger and the bright yellow and black colors make them easier to photograph and see. This Folding Scale has inch measurements on both sides. One side will be used in the L-shape configuration to photograph shoe and tire impressions. Use the reverse side to photograph long or vertical surfaces. There is a hole in the top edge of the scale so it can be hung from a nail, if necessary.

These 2"—50 mm scales are printed on flat white, gray or black pressure-sensitive paper with a peel-away backing. For photos on horizontal surfaces, just lay the scale in the scene. For vertical surfaces, such as bullet holes or blood spatters on walls, just peel the backing off and press the ruler to the surface. These scales have nonpermanent adhesive and can be easily removed from evidence without damage. Scales are in quantities of 50, individually cut.

This adhesive photo evidence scale looks like our rigid six-inch scales, but it is wound on 1-inch by 30-foot rolls with a repeat pattern every 12 inches. The adhesive is nonpermanent so that you can apply the scale to walls, automobiles, windows, etc., and then remove it without damaging the evidence.

This scale consists of large numbers printed on a bright yellow, non-glare tape stock. The nonpermanent adhesive tape can be placed on a variety of surfaces, such as the flat surfaces of painted walls, automobiles, windows, etc., and then removed without surface damage. Each roll is 30 feet long and 1 1/4 inch wide. The pattern of 12 inches repeats itself with alternating black bands on every other foot length. The purpose of the alternating black band is for distance photography. Even if you cannot read the numbers in the scale at this long distance, you should be able to see the black bars, therefore you would know the approximate measurement in feet.

The ABFO No. 2 Scale was designed by the American Board of Forensic Odontology. By meeting their specific criteria, we are allowed to produce this scale with the approval to use their name.

The "Bureau" scale set contains an L-shaped scale which is 30 cm on the long arm and 15 cm on the short arm, and a second straight scale which is 15 cm long. One side of each scale in the set is white with black printing and the other side is black with white printing. The L-shaped scale is rigid and is not hinged like some of our other scales.

The use of Forensic Light Sources has increased in the field of forensic medicine and in the investigations of domestic violence. This fluorescent L-shaped scale can be used to document the sizes of the bruises and other injuries which are visualized with a Forensic Light Source or Wood’s Lamp. This scale is L-Shaped, similar to the scale designed by the American Board of Forensic Odontologists. However, this scale is printed with inch markings instead of metric markings. It is made of the same material, the heavy, laminated plastic with the non-glare finish. It has circles with crosshairs to assist in correcting non-parallelism in the darkroom or on digital systems. There are alternating black and white bars to allow for measurements of grossly over- or underexposed photographs and there are bars of approximate 18% gray scale for color corrections. Many people do not like metric measurements so we are producing this scale in inches. Now, you have your choice of inch or metric scales for your evidence photography where you need to have two plane measurements.
