Mannlicher® is the name most often given to a stock whose forend extends to the end of the barrel. Actually, the Mannlicher-Shoenauer Company of Australia made this style popular with their series of full-length sporting rifles beginning with the 1903 model. Today, it is appropriate to refer to such a full-length stock as Mannlicher®-style, as the Mannlicher® name is trademarked. This type of stock usually has a functional metal forend tip on the front end of the stock. We have developed two different forend tips for Mannlicher®-style stocks: a traditional model we call type R (regular) and a second model we call type S (styled). These quality investment castings are provided in the white (as cast), with their attaching screws. The barrel channel will have to be opened up to the desired muzzle diameter - the minimum is .600.
