revolutionized the hunting industry in 1985 with the advent of scent
elimination for hunters. The introduction of Scent Shield®, a liquid spray
that neutralized human odor, created a brand new product category. So it’s
no surprise that we began making scent- elimination clothing with activated
carbon as well. We call it ScentBlocker ®. Being life-long, dedicated
hunters ourselves, we constantly ask ‘why’. We prod, we poke, we learn, we
test, we enhance, we improve – and in the end, we innovate. All of this is
done in an effort to build a better mousetrap, or more specifically, to
build the best scent-eliminating garments we know how. Garments that allow
hunters to get closer to the animals they hunt. We ask ourselves, “Does it
work? Does it solve a problem? Is it better? Is it affordable? Is it
practical? Is it the best it can be?” If the answer is not yes to all, we go
back to the drawing board.
ScentBlocker® fabric utilizes the best
coal-based activated carbon in the world. Our specific carbon was selected
because it has a wide variety of of pore sizes. Why does pore size matter?
The human odor molecule is large and the microscopic-sized pores present in
the carbon must provide great surface area so that the large odor molecule
can be adsorbed. |
