Scent-Lok products have the
capacity to adsorb human odor for approximately 40 hours of field use. Once
the garments have reached that time, they are “desorbed” in the dryer. Once
the temperature reaches 150 degrees for 30-40 minutes, the capacity has been
restored to adsorb odors again.
Comfort is a critical part of a good fabric for hunting. Scent-Lok fabrics
are treated with a moisture wicking agent called ClimaFlex™. It wicks
moisture away from the skin, making hunters warmer in cold weather and
cooler on hot days in the field.
The wicking treatment also spreads perspiration over a larger surface area,
so that scent-adsorption is also improved. Human oil is also repelled by
this treatment and makes the washing performance better by not allowing
human contaminants to permanently bond to the fabric.
