Most incidents in which handguns are used have three things in common: they occur at close range, in low light, and under conditions of extreme stress. Unfortunately, many commonly taught combat shooting techniques do not work very well under these realistic conditions. One method proven to work in hundreds of documented gunfights is point shooting. This technique accepts the instinctive reactions to life threatening stress and uses them as a foundation.
