This remarkably simple scale, represents a major break-through in handloading technique. It features dramatic improvements over traditional powder measures, scales and powder tricklers. With a simple push of a button, the AUTOSCALE dispenses powder more accurately than any “Bench Rest” micrometer type powder measure with accuracy + or - .2 grain.

The AUTOSCALE is so unique that its design has produced 19 separate patent claims. The heart of the AUTOSCALE is the “all solid state” electronic light emitting diode and the photo transistor sensors. These optoelectronics sense the position of the balance arm to a fraction of a millimeter . . . far closer than is possible by the human eye, giving consistent and accurate powder drops, eliminating weighing errors. Once set for the desired weight, powder is dispensed through two trickle tubes. The high speed tube controls rapid feeding up to 5 grains per second. When the optical sensors indicate that the scale is almost balanced, the slow trickle tube takes over and drops only enough powder to precisely balance the scale.
